Memorial Day Weekend Outfit Ideas you're gonna love!
Posted on May 25 2017
The unofficially, official, start to summer is here, and it's my birthday!! Can I get a Whoot Whoot!! I think 36 is going to be a great year for me. What? You act like I'm lying about my age or something :) Fine, 46, but don't spread that around. Let's keep it between us. I love that my birthday always falls on or around Memorial Day Weekend. Most of my friends are around and have the extra day off to celebrate with me. We invited some friends over for a backyard bbq and birthday celebration this weekend that I am looking forward to. That means birthday cake for me, Yay! Oh, buttercream frosting, why are you so delicious? I live in the midwest, and it usually rains on Memorial Day Weekend without fail. One of the three days it will rain which makes putting together a cute party outfit more challenging. Is it going to be warm and sunny or is it going to be raining and cold? My money is on rainy and cold. Every party needs a pooper, and it looks like Mother Nature is it this year. Who invited her anyway?
Whether it's sunny and warm or rainy and cold, I've got the outfit ideas you're going to love.
I'll most likely be wearing the outfit on the right, jeans and this adorable sleeveless tee from Loft paired with casual jewelry and sandals. The tank is a little bit longer in the back with a super cute eyelet pattern that I love. To me, a backyard bbq is casual. I want to be comfortable, stylish and this outfit fits the bill. I'll grab a comfy sweatshirt or my white jeans jacket for when the sun goes down, and the temps start to drop.
If you've got a dressier event to attend and the weather is warm and sunny, you can't go wrong with a basic short and a detailed tank. Keep the shorts basic and let your tank and heels do the talking.
The red shorts and tank are from Marshalls. I love Marshalls. No shame in my game.
Okay, I think I might have an addiction to Marshalls. Both of these dresses are from Marshalls too. I should not be allowed in there by myself anymore, I need a chaperone. I bought them both for my spring break trip to Cabo and plan to continue wearing them all summer long. Denim and stripes will always be in style so these two dresses can be worn now and five years from now and still be on point.
I love the simplicity and preppy vibe of this outfit. Our (now sold out) Hamptons Kuhfs are perfect to add a pop of color and preppy pattern to this outfit. If you like this look, try our Check Mate Kuhfs. The same preppy pattern but in blue.
#TBT to outfits past that are still on trend and would be perfect for any Memorial Day backyard bbq or party.
Happy Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start to the summer. Let the games begin.
